The lotus beneath the sun and in the pond symbolises the learner flourishing from this rural based institution abounds in ponds, tanks and agricultural lands.

The plough and the corn stands for this renowned district as the rice bowl of Orissa state and the main source of income of the people in this region is agriculture.

The Laboratory equipment symbolises modern science, research and its impact on society and the utility of scientific knowledge and development.
