The name of the Association shall be The Simulia College Dramatic Society, Markona.

1. The aims and objectives of the society shall be
(a) To encourage the cultivation of historic talent and dramatic art and technique among the members by arranging theatrical performance.
(b) To encourage writing by members.
(c) To organise discussion, symposia on drama and various aspects of drama and to take such steps and measure for the development of drama as the Executive Committee may from time to time determine.

2. (a) All students of +3 classes of the college are ipso-facto members of the society.
(b) All members of the staff are honorary members of the society.
(c) The Executive Committee of the Society may with the approval of the Principal offer honorary membership on any individual distinguished in the field of drama.

3. The Executive Committee of the Society shall consist of
(a) President - Principal (ex-officio)
(b) Vice-President and Associate Vice-Presidents to be nominated by the Principal from among the members of the staff.
(c) Secretary to be elected by +3 students from among them. The Asst. Secretary to be elected by +3 students from among +3 1st year and +3 2nd year classes.
(d) One class representative from each class (Arts and Commerce counted separately) to be elected by +3 students from among them.
(e) One class representative from among the woman students.

4. The Executive Committee prepares a budget which will be placed before the Principal for final approval. The Vice-Presidents will be eligible to draw money from the college only after the budget is approved by Principal. Any deviation in the budget needs prior approval of the Principal. Vice-President and Associate Vice-President shall be responsible for submitting vouchers by 25th March positively.

5. (a) Before a play is staged or a function or a competition or a show is organised, the details shall receive the approval of the Executive Committee and the Principal.
(b) No rehearsal shall be deemed proper unless a Vice- President or a teacher is present at such rehearsal.
(c) No invitation shall be issued or no ticket shall be sold for a play or a show unless the Executive Committee submit in writing that the standard of the artists and the arrangement are to their satisfaction.

6. The Secretary shall convene meeting and keep a record of the proceedings of these meetings and keep a record of the society accurately and up to date.

7. The Asst Secretary shall assist the Secretary in the discharge of his/her duties and in his/her absence also.

8. The Principal is the final authority of the Society and may at his discretion alter, amend, supplement or add any or all of these rules.
